Marine Jobs is a collaboration between the Marina Industries Association (MIA), Superyacht Australia (SYA) and the Boating Industry Association (BIA). It is a ‘career centre’ dedicated to the broader marine industries to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment processes for employers, demonstrate career choices and pathways available to employees and improve industry employee retention.
While Marine Jobs provides a range of career resources, including information on apprenticeships and industry training, its main function is a recruitment platform where employers can post jobs to a qualified and targeted job seeker market.
A Business Development Officer is required to administer, build and grow the Marine Jobs recruitment platform by increasing its awareness, use and value to marine related businesses and job seekers.
The Marine Jobs Business Development Officer will report to and take direction from the Marina Industries Association CEO on behalf of the collaboration.
This is a 12 month part time contract role working approximately 20-24 hours per week.
The role will be autonomous and likely work remotely, although access to office space is available in NSW or QLD.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Marine Jobs Employer Acquisition & Job Seeker Promotion Strategy
- Sign up new affiliates and employers (generally other marine related associations/ groups).
- Drive Job Seeker communications through social media, ad-words etc.
- Manage Job Seeker and Employer data bases.
- Develop key messages for Parties and affiliates to share
- Drive the SEO strategy
- Administration of all aspects of Marine Jobs
- Respond to inquires from affiliates, partners and job seekers.
- Provide monthly performance reports to the Parties
- Conduct employer survey to determine success & satisfaction
