We are currently seeking a proactive, innovative, and experienced individual with a Stock Management and Parts Interpreter background who is looking for a varied and challenging role in the Marine Industry.

The Stock Manager will take ownership of/be accountable for stock control, inventory forecasting and BOM accuracy across the group.



Requirements

The Stock Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Perform manual stock takes, investigate stock take discrepancies, enter stock takes in the system and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Allocate stock to completed jobs and investigate any quantity/part differences and investigate low margin discrepancies.
  • Compile stock control reports for management.
  • Generate and manage stock item codes and enter new products and BOM’s.
  • Collaborate with QMS Manager, Engineer, Sales team, Storeperson and Operations team to update BOM’s as required.
  • Ensure stock is available for installation jobs and retail sales.
  • Allocate stock to customer jobs to reflect stock movements.
  • Assist Customers with spare parts/counter sales as needed.
  • Join Sales meetings to discuss sales forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the sales and purchasing team to coordinate the replenishment of stock in a timely manner to ensure optimal levels of stock.
  • Effectively manage faulty and/or damaged stock, and process stock return records.
  • Conduct regular store audits of procedures and documentation.
  • Contribute to continual improvements in processes and procedures.
  • Improve undersupply/unavailability of parts or materials.
  • Transfer stock between locations using MYOB EXO Business.
  • Generate, interpret, and distribute stock reports.
  • Provide cover for the Storeperson during times of leave.

This position would ideally suit a highly motivated Stock/Warehousing Manager with Parts Interpretation experience looking for a career change. 

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Experience in parts interpretation, stock control, stock takes, discrepancy investigations, warehousing, transport or manufacturing and logistics functions.
  • A strong commitment to WH&S policies and procedures.
  • A forklift Licence would be highly regarded.
  • High levels of accuracy, initiative, problem solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Energetic, motivated, highly organised and excellent time management skills.
  • The ability to make well considered decisions.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong computer literacy across MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Possess people management/supervisory skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and be proactive to the needs of the team & business.
  • Be service oriented with a great attitude and work ethic.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and change orientated environment
  • Permanent Residency status with no work restrictions
  • Located in Queensland
