Description

Position Overview: 

Primary responsibilities will encompass the safe and efficient navigation for arrivals & departures for our 130 in-water service berths.

Providing a concierge level of service with operational support and safety for all Marina in-water service arrivals and departures.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently assist vessels with their arrival & departures to our in-water service berths
  • Coordinate all arrival and departure bookings, including payments for the marina in-water service berths.
  • Coordinate all logistics for the provisioning crane pad & refuel dock for our customers, will include coordinating safety measures i.e. spill kits plus liaison and coordination with arrivals parking etc with external contractors.
  • Connect visiting vessels with supplies of electricity, fresh water and sewage pump out services.
  • Conduct regular utilities / meter read checks and audits
  • Physical external work including general cleaning and audits of pedestals and marina walkways and general marina site upkeep.
  • Secure boats in and around the in-water services berths with precision and attention to detail.
  • Adhere rigorously to safety protocols, guidelines and Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the work environment, to maintain our clean marina & superyacht ready marina profile.
  • Working seamlessly with all shipyard and office administrations staff to ensure smooth operations, bookings for arrivals and departures.
  • Use of marina reservation software system i.e. PACSOFT / Excel.
  • Provide a high-level of general marina services for customers of the Marina, Boatyard and Superyacht facility.
  • Providing exceptional customer service/s support with general site information in the office and on the dock.
  • Provide administration tasks and duties via email and telephone for all enquiries in the office and on the dock.
  • Additional support task will include record keeping, general administration and daily logs.
  • OHS accountabilities, monitoring, liaison with marine trade services in and out of the marina including deliveries to the marina, pump out services etc
  • Assist with implementation of key policies and procedures 

Qualifications:

 

  • Advanced boat handling skills including mooring, line retrieval.
  • Prior experience in a marina or boatyard setting is advantageous
  • Good presentation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work the hours needed to meet the demands of the role
  •  Basic computer skills with a marina reservation system would be an advantage i.e. PACSOFT
  • Current drivers and boat operator’s licenses.
  • Demonstrated physical fitness
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
  • Safety-conscious mindset and dedication to following safety protocols
  • Adaptability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • A positive can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
